Vision Cinema

This has been our Group project for the second year at university (2008). There were 5 people allocated to this project. This is a complete functional system for a Cinema chain. It includes:

  • Main site (booking, watching trailers, member area, feedback, etc)
  • Kiosk System
  • Print ticket System
  • Managers System
  • Head Office System
  • WAP version (booking)

This group project has been marked 88%. As I gave all my time and devotion to the project, my personal mark (Peer to peer assessment) has been 90%.

For this project, I was responsible for the design of the website, the logo, the all programming and Implementation of the 6 systems.

Pros :

- Good design
- 4 servers/databases connected together.
- Cinema database will still work if the main server is down.
Cons :

- WAP service could be improved
- A lot of good work wasted into a Uni-project!
 


 

Random facts

  • I passed a designer degree (communication) in France before head to the UK.
  • I am trained in various design tools like Photoshop and Illustrator.
  • I worked for Google for 18 months
